Indian Restaurant in Rome

Indian Restaurant in Rome

Last week, I was craving Indian food and we decided to try out an Indian restaurant in Rome which was listed in the SmartBox gift that we received.   While we get a wide choice of different Italian food here in Rome, I have found it difficult to find good ethnic restaurants.

Found an Indian Restaurant in Rome in the Smartbox

A year ago, I went to an Indian restaurant in Esquilino but it was just ok. To tell you that we weren’t impressed, we never went back.  I know I was taking a chance but I really wanted Indian food.

So when I saw the listing of this Indian restaurant in Rome, I called them up and made a reservation.  Yes, they speak English so it was easy for me to communicate with them.

The restaurant is called Rajdhani and it is located in Trastevere.

From what was listed in the Smartbox, the meal for two includes:

– Pappadam
– Samosa
– Fried chicken (looked like Chicken boxing)
– Chicken curry
– Basmati rice
– Dal
– Naan
– Bottle of water or 2 glasses of wine

Sounds pretty decent right?  And it really was!  The food was good and tasty that we have plans to go back there. Also while we were there, there was a good crowd and it was a week night.

The meal for two based on the above menu is about €30.00 in total which by Rome standards is a pretty good deal. (Note: The SmartBox Degustazione costs €29.90).  If you are looking for an Indian restaurant in Rome, I would recommend the Rajdhani. Their details are below:
