Cheap Flights from Rome: Headed to Barcelona

Cheap Flights from Rome: Headed to Barcelona

It’s not difficult to find cheap flights from Rome to other cities and towns in Europe thanks to low-cost airlines such as RyanAir, EasyJet and Vueling. Due to their extensive route coverage, you just need to decide where you want to go.

If you book at least several months ahead of time, you can get incredible deals which make it difficult not to book these cheap flights from Rome. When we checked the price of tickets from Rome to Barcelona, we just “had” to book it.

In total, taxes included, we paid a bit more than €60 per person for a round trip ticket. Also, as we have never been to Barcelona before, it was yet another reason to go.

Thanks to cheap flights from Rome – we are off to Barcelona today!

Cheap Flights from Rome: Headed to BarcelonaI am totally excited about this trip. After booking our flights, we bought a guidebook to plan an itinerary that will allow us to see and do as much as we can in just 4 days. It’s going to be tight!

We plan to see the main sites which include Sagrada Familia and Casa Battlo by Gaudi, as well as churches, museums (including the chocolate museum), walking tour of the Gothic Quarter with Context Travel, cable car to Montjuic, markets, the beaches, parks and undoubtedly check out a couple of restaurants.

We reckon that most of the sightseeing can be done on foot and with public transportation. If it’s just too tiring, we will scale it back. Anyway, with cheap flights from Rome, we can always schedule another trip back here to see what we have missed.

It’s true there are so many beautiful places such as Tuscany and Umbria which are fabulous getaways and even more regions in Italy that we still need to explore. However, it’s also nice to slip in a few trips to Europe since flights are so affordable and take this opportunity to experience and learn more about other cultures.

As for the next few posts, I will be sharing some details of our trip to Barcelona and posting updates on the Facebook Page. So stay tuned!

If you have been to Barcelona, what tips do you have for us and what shouldn’t we miss?

P.S.  We have checked other cheap flights from Rome and have plans to visit a few more European cities in the near future!

  1. I’m so jealous!! I love Barcelona, it’s my favourite city. I could give you so many recommendations it’s untrue, but the best way of discovering Barcelona is simply to wander around and discover it yourself. OK, I’ll give you one. For authentic Catalan, try taverna El Glop – http://tavernaelglop.com/ in Gràcia. Have fun! 🙂

    • Pete, that’s what we have been doing today. Wandering around for 8 hours and we are exhausted but happy? Starting early tomorrow!

  2. Last time I was in Barcelona I remember Las Ramblas, being forced and pleasantly surprised to visit the Gaudi masterpieces (cathedral), his house and his wonderland. As for food I remember this awesome little street for tapas, crepes and basically whatever you want- its near the Picaso exhibit. You’ll know it when you stumble upon it bc theres also a famous church and I saw them singing live and that was beautiful.

I wish I could give you specifics but it was awhile ago. And I was blogging or paying attention to detail. I just remember being obsessed with aioli, patatas bravas, everything served on a small plate, and jamon. And chorizo. And paella. And yeah, just have fun!
