Bootcamp in Rome

Bootcamp in Rome

With the weather getting warmer in Rome, it’s the perfect time to start working outdoors. On top of that, summer is coming up fast. When I heard there would be a bootcamp in March with Coach G I was eager to try it out.

I have heard about bootcamps from my sister who has attended Barry’s Bootcamps in LA. When I told her I signed up, she was a bit worried as she knows I probably couldn’t bear being yelled at.

However, this bootcamp is nothing like the stories she had shared about her bootcamp experience with Barry. Coach G was supportive and created a positive atmosphere. The workout was sure tough and I was already feeling it when we just got through with the warm-up.

The view from where we worked out wasn’t bad either. I doubt there are very few places in the world that could beat a view like this.

There were some really good exercises and the one that stood out was a superb ab workout that we did.  It was challenging but Pilates sure helped.  While Coach G wanted us to get excited about every exercise we had to do, it was difficult to do so when you are still catching your breath!

There was a pretty good number of people who attended bootcamp but it was well conducted that you sure got one heck of a workout. Finally, when we were done with the last exercise called “Suicide” and were told that it’s time to stretch, I was thankful as I was close to running out of gas.

Bootcamp in Rome: Working Out

I sure had a good workout and at the same time it was fun.  It was good to see a few familiar faces and meet new people.  Oh yeah, it was effective too because yesterday, the day after bootcamp, I did feel sore mainly in the legs.  I was struggling to walk up stairs yesterday but this morning, I feel better.

The bootcamp is presently only for this month but I hope Coach G will have it also for the following months.  So, if you are in Rome and looking to join a group for a fun and intense workout, this bootcamp is it.

  1. OMG! Now I feel guilty. I go for a run from time to time and it looks like you are a lot better than me with your fitness regime…
Bootcamp sounds like hard work, but I like the view!

    • Hi Muriel, I wish I was better than you hahaha. I just got started but it has been fun. It is hard work but it’s a nice group of people. The view is a huge plus!

  2. I agree with Muriel, great view!
