Hi Sarah,

You could probably buy a CIS at the train station at the airport but it won't be valid on the Leonardo Express which is the train you would take from Fiumicino to the centre of Rome (Termini Station). That is a separate ticket. Hope this helps.

Hi, can anyone tell me please can we buy the Carta Integrata Settimanale (CIS) – Integrated Weekly Ticket at the airport when we arrive, and then use it on the train to the centre of Rome, and back?? We are fliying into Fiumicino airport.
Thanks

Hi Kathryn,

I agree that the Cinque Terre is a special and unique place and though you could visit all 5 towns in just a day, it's best to spend more time in each place to fully experience the place. Ahh so I wasn't the only one who was disappointed by the pesto. I had an awesome pesto dish a while back but I can't remember the name of the place in La Spezia. I have to try the place you mentioned in Rome - do you remember the name?

Hi Diana,
I visited Cinque Terre many years ago while staying nearby in Portovenere. We caught the ferry from the harbour to Cinque Terre early one morning and visited all 5 villages, if rather briefly, stopping for lunch at Monterosso. I'll always remember sitting in the lovely cobbled street eating a seafood spaghetti and listening to two girls singing while they were up on some scaffolding painting a fresco around a window - a form of Trompe-l'œil, I think..

I do have to add though, I too wasn't balled over by the pesto I had in Portovenere, which surprised me as this area is where it comes from. The best pesto I have ever had was in Rome, not far from the' value for money' pasta place you took me too near the Spanish Steps.

I did really love Cinque Terre and hope I get to go back there one day and this time to stay a little longer in each of the charming villages. I really did think it was a very special place.
with love, Kathryn

Hi Annette, Rome is beautiful but living here can be challenging. With the current economic situation, it is not easy even for Italians to find work. Nevertheless, nothing is impossible and I wish you the best.

Hi Diane,
I love Rome and ache to be back there. What is the job situation there? I have worked in Retail and have been a Receptionist forever. I would really love to live in Rome, as close to the Piazza Navona as possible. Any info you send me would be real helpful.
Thanks,
Annette
