A Lovely Bed and Breakfast in Montepulciano

A Lovely Bed and Breakfast in Montepulciano

I am hesitant to share this bed and breakfast in Montepulciano because I would like to keep it a best-kept secret!

We came across this bed and breakfast in Montepulciano because the place we booked in Norcia, Umbria only had 1 night available.  Thank goodness for that because this place is a jewel.

Casa Di Bacco:  Bed and Breakfast in Montepulciano

The drive through Tuscany is always very scenic and heading towards this bed and breakfast in Montepulciano from Lake Trasimeno, the views were breathtaking.  I think every time we turned a corner, I kept saying “Wow, pretty!”

When I first came across this bed and breakfast in Montepulciano while doing a search on the internet, I was drawn by how it was surrounded by vineyards and how tranquil it looked.  I had thought it would be very expensive but the price was reasonable. We paid 130 euros per room and includes breakfast for two.

There was availability at this bed and breakfast in Montepulciano

However, I was a bit worried because while other bed and breakfasts around the area were full, Casa Di Bacco had more than one room available. So we really wondered.

We booked online and mentioned that we would check-in at 3pm but when we got there, no one was there.  We called the person and he said to call the lady who is in charge of the property.  At that time, I was starting to get concerned because the placed was dead.  Not even a car parked on the grounds.

The lady finally came after 10 minutes and checked us in.  She showed us to the room and said the pool was open but the water is still too cold.

The room was spacious, clean and here are more images of the rooms . This is the gorgeous view from our room in this bed and breakfast in Montepulciano.

We spent the afternoon by the pool and we were the only ones there. Ok, it’s probably too cold to be in the pool so it was no surprise.  What was surprising was that there was only one other car parked there.

They don’t offer dinner so the lady recommended a few restaurants in Montepulciano and in the nearby town. She advised us to make reservations as they tend to be full on Saturday evenings.

This Bed and Breakfast in Montepulciano is a Best-Kept Secret

The next morning while we had breakfast, we discovered only 3 of the rooms were occupied. That’s why I call it the best-kept secret because the price is acceptable for Tuscany and it’s quiet. I will definitely be back there!

  1. I was smiling when reading that you were reluctant to tell about this beautiful place. I recognize that!
It looks cool indeed! I promise I won’t tell anyone 😉

    • I hope to go back there but it may be too cold now 🙂 Spring would be perfect and to be honest, there are many wonderful accommodation options in Tuscany to try out.
